As we’ve been studying various cultures, I’m just going to share a little bit of information about Ramadan. Ramadan begins tomorrow and is a very important time of year for Muslims. It is a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. Fasting begins at dawn and ends at dusk. Families gather together at the end of the day to break their fast. People reflect on what it feels like to not have food and about how they can help others. The final evening of Ramadan families celebrate Eid al-Fitr by gathering together and having a feast.
