This month in literacy, we’ll be working on:

• blending 3 or 4 sounds together to make a word
• sorting words by their beginning sound
• ‘stretching’ words to hear (and print) each sound
• using letter-sound connections to write words in a simple sentence frame (e.g. It is … / I like… / I can …)

In numeracy, we’ll be working on:

• composing and decomposing numbers to 10
• creating numbers sentences for numbers in 2 parts
• creating subtraction (‘take away’) sentences
