Dear Division 8,
Let’s talk about keeping ourselves healthy! What have you been doing to keep yourselves active and moving around? Playing video games doesn’t count ; )
Have you been going for walks? Did any of you try the family cardio videos or the Go Noodle videos? Each day it’s your job to keep yourselves moving for at least 30 minutes – I’ve added Cosmic Yoga and P.E. with Joe to the links.
Today’s job is to try one of them and leave me a comment…Did you sweat? What was the best part of the workout? What was the hardest part?
For example:
My favourite activity to do each day is to go for a walk. I love seeing the blossoms blooming and feeling the fresh air on my face. The hardest part for me is this big hill when I come back home…I’m always huffing and puffing!
Another part of keeping healthy is COOKING! I know in your gratitude posters many of you mentioned all the yummy food you were cooking with your families! I’m interested in learning about all that yummy food!
What’s your favourite food? What are some of the ingredients you need to make your recipe? Please write it below!
Mine are healthier chocolate chip cookies!! Here are some of the things you need:
2/3 cup of oat flour 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup of honey 6 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract
Once your done your writing, I want you to head over to Microsoft Office teams….I have a messy Math video waiting for you : )
Just click the video link on the slide and you’ll be able to watch the video in teams!
Love,
Ms. Binng
Hi miss Binng I tried the family cardio and the easiest part was skipping around the room the hardest part was holding a squat position for 1 minute
I’m so glad you tried it! I agree with you holding a squat for a minute is tough!!! I’m so glad you did it though – you are strong!
Hi miss Binng I tried to press Ctrl+click to see the video but it won’t work can you help me
Yes! Press the control button on your computer ctrl and double click on your mouse at the same time…does it work?
I walk or run every day after lunch. After walking I run for 1 hour or so. But I run in my back yard and I sweat a lot too!
Wow! Do you run in your backyard for an hour? You should count how many laps you’re able to do in an hour!
ok
good for you Quinn
My favourite activity is riding bike and the hardest part is riding bike on munition and the easy part was coming down on a munition and when I came back home I just sleep.
My kids love to bike ride too! Do you bike ride everyday? If you don’t, what other activities do you do?
How are you Aiden
Mostly everyday I walk and run around the neighbourhood but I social distance while running or walking
I social distance too! How long do you go for your walks? Yesterday I went for an hour!
Oh that’s a LONG time:)
My favourite activate was going on a run it was a little hard and a little easy I had fun but my legs hurt and heart was beating thank you ms binng
Do you go everyday for at least 30 minutes or do you do different activities each day?
I do different activities each day
Can you give me some examples?
I take a walk to see cherry blossom. The easy part was walking and there were no hard part.
What do you do each day to get your heart beating fast? If the walk is too easy maybe go for a run or try one of the videos? We need you sweating everyday!
I tried Go Noodle and Family Cardio. The hard one in the video was when you jumping up and down. I was tired.
I’m so glad you tried it! Did you sweat?!?! Did your heart beat a little faster?! Remember you should be doing something like this for 30 minutes everyday!
Hi ms Binng. I’m having fun with go noddle and i do the dances. And on the weekends i ride my bike. And also i eat healthy with fruits, vegetables, fresh squeeze orange juice & I take my vitamins everyday.
I knew you would enjoy those dances!!!! I love Go Noodle too! The moves are so fun! You are such a rock star when it comes to good health! Do you and your family have any healthy recipes you can share?
We make pineapple & berries smoothie.
Ingredients are: frozen berries, frozen pineapple & pineapple juice and blend it. Enjoy!
Yum…can you tell me how much of each you put in your smoothie? For example, 1/2 cup of berries! Can’t wait to try!
Hi Ms.Binng I looked at the video but do I have to print it???
Your choice! You can print or you can just write it on a piece of paper!

Most days I go biking with my dad and little sister around our neighbourhood. I like it because it is nice outside and sunny. I am getting better at riding my bicycle everyday because I did not know how to ride and hills are hard to ride.
I’m so glad to hear that you learned how to ride a bike! That’s awesome! I agree that hills are hard to ride sometimes!
Hi Ms Binng, I play soccer with my brother agh home mostly and over the weekends I go for walk with my parents and it makes me sweat when we walk more than 20 minutes. The hardest part is when my brother goals and I can not :).
