In this video it shows a boy doing this exact same thing as a science fair project. He sets up tape and cones too show different angles. It shows us his results and how to do it properly. I think this will help to proceed with our project and how we are going to go about it. As well as giving us results to compare our results to.
The topic I was doing before, math in field lacrosse, was not a topic i wanted to do nor was interested in. I decided to change my topic to something I was more interested in, soccer. After reading other people in our class’s posts about soccer, I have decided to narrow down my topic to shooting angles in soccer.
In soccer you will always need to communicate with your team and sometimes to the other team and referee but mostly with your team.with communication you need to to know where to say man on or pass.so that where the math comes in.first you need to to check your surroundings and then look at your teammates surroundings if they have the ball and want to get into space to get the ball. you must move in open space to get the ball passed to you then you.then you make your run with calculations and with timing and then you have to say pass or here with timing so that they can pass to you quickly while you are in space witch would alow you to switch the ball r have more time. that how communication and math work well.
I think goal tending is one of the most important and hard positions in soccer because you are guarding such a big net. I think that angles has a lot of play when it comes to goal tending. The goaltender has to follow the line of shot when a player is shooting on him. So as you may have already known in my other post that I love and play soccer. I really want to focus on the angles when you are shooting and if you need to be on angle to score. I want to experiment on doing this in the near future. I think when professional soccer players are scoring goals they don’t just kick the ball randomly and hope that it goes in. in soccer it is very important to find space. it is related to math by moving and how much you have to move.like how many steps you have to move and how fast and when to move.like you have to time your run.when you are planing you need to know when and where to run you can do this by finding their blind spots then quickly running in front or moving quickly away and then back where they want to go and then their teammates passing them the ball once they find space.
