to do a standard pass with math you need to time your pass and moving between the players and making runs to get the ball.when you want to receive the ball you have to make runs and call for the ball.and the person who is passing the ball has to Time their pas of the ball and put it in front of their feet so they can run onto the ball

Module One Post Four (Savannah Ballet- The Geometry of Dance)
This website shows the geometry and symmetry in ballet. Due to the fact that it’s a powerpoint, it doesn’t have much written information. However, I found the pictures to be quite useful. The website shows different positions and the geometry within them, as well as the different formations that require symmetry. It also demonstrated different choreography formations made up of lines and circles, as well as different body lines and shapes.
Even though this website didn’t have much-written information, I found the pictures to be quite helpful considering the fact that I am mainly a visual and kinesthetic learner. Another thing that was helpful to me was that every slide showed the original picture with an additional picture that had been outlined to show where the line of symmetry and shapes are found. This enabled me to understand what they are trying to show.
Module One Post Three (The Mathematics of Ballet)
This website talks about how different concepts in ballet are related to math. Counting is very important and useful in ballet. In order for a dancer to stay in time with the music, they must count their steps. If they miss a beat they won’t be in sync with the other dancers. Symmetry is very important because it helps dancers balance. It also explains that for several different movements the legs move equally although they do not appear the same. Dancers must also understand the concept of clockwise and counterclockwise because there are 2 different kinds of pirouettes, en dedans, and en dehors. The four different walls and four different corners in the studio are referred to as the eight corners.

The dancers all look identical because they are counting in time with the music.
Although this website did not have a lot of information, it was still useful because, for the most part, it had different information from the other websites I read. It was also helpful because it had a lot of pictures and images to help me better understand what the website was trying to explain.

Math is in every kitchen and on every recipe. The mathematics is barely unnoticed but it still plays a role in cooking. There is lots of things like converting Celsius to Fahrenheit and knowing how much each serving is and how much it is worth.
To me when people are cooking they don’t even realize that they are doing math because they are focused on the recipe and making the dish good. This website displays the groundbreaking achievement for scientists who study nanotech and mathematicians alike. They have engineered pills that will combat cancer. The website displays why it is important that scientists are making these pills because cancer is becoming resistant to many other methods of treatment. The website is based in Ontario at the University of Waterloo (a high ranking computer science university).
The nano-scientists and mathematicians from both Harvard Medical School and the University of Waterloo made a 2 in 1 pill which made the cell not show signs of resistance so that cancer could not detect the resistance and adapt. Cancer usually can tell if a cell has adapted to be resistant to cancer so the cancer cells will change so that the normal cells are no longer resistant. The other part of the pill ensures that the cell is still protected in case of cancer but does not show that it’s protected.

This website provides basic knowledge of the form, mechanics and projectile motion of shooting a puck in hockey. In addition, it shows what happens if you miss the shot. Unfortunately this site does not have too much information. This for me will be used more as reference page rather than a research page. Although may gather some important data, as i found some information extremely interesting. Definitely going to come back to this site again!

This video takes a deeper look at what a slapshot is, and how the stick reacts to the given force. Also it explains the math behind a hockey stick and the flex of a stick, and how it may affect your shot. This is a good resource as they have professionals prove their theory. I also found this video explained the math very well, as it is easy to follow. This video will be extremely useful to me as it is an accurate resource, therefore will be a good place to gather data.

This cite provided a good understanding on the how angles are used in a game of hockey. This website demonstrates the relationship of angles to shooting in hockey. Unfortunately, other tabs on this website is still being made. I myself found this website extremely interesting as it goes into depth in one of the biggest aspects of the game of hockey shooting. The information displayed was extremely clear and easy to understand. This website will be definitely used in my research.

This link talks about what stages an idea has to go through to become a movie or video. The type of people that have to work on it and what kind of math. For example, they wrote that animators use math the most in the film industry and that they mostly use trigonometry, algebra, integral calculus, subdivision surfaces, and harmonic coordinates.
