I know youtube sounds like an average source to use, but I didn’t want to put all the channels I could use inside those brackets so I’ll just tell you them here. Youtube has many channels that talk about karting and the mechanics. Remo Ruscitti has a youth channel were he posts onboard videos of him driving go karts and race cars. KartPit has a channel were they post videos of working on the chassis of a go kart and different things you can change to improve performance. Italian Motors has a youtube channel were they post informational videos about some of their products.

All these youtube channels and videos can help me because it is a visual representation of what I’m doing. I found out that I learn better when I see what I am supposed to do. Watching videos, whether they are of driving, fixing, or information, having videos will help me a lot.

Italianmotorsusa.com is your one stop shop for everything go kart related. Unlike kartpit.com, Italian motors sells go kart related products. From chassis to engine packages, from karting helmets to shoes, they have it all. They even have accessories, like go pro camera’s and canopies for when it’s raining. Along with all these great products, they also have information about the different chassis, engines, and equipment.

Italian motors will be very helpful to me because they have all the products you would need for karting all in one place. Along with these products, they have information about them. This information will become very handy if I decide to focus on the difference between engines, etc. Everything is also in one place, making it much easier to find everything I will need.

module one post three (Micheal Valiante)

Micheal Valiante is a professional race car driver and owner of Italian Motors, the go kart team I race for. He is by far one of the best drivers I know. He was the 4th best go kart driver in the world at one point! He is also a great mechanic. If my dad and I can’t figure out a problem with my engine or chassis, he is always the one with the answer. For the last 6 weeks, Micheal has been training me and my teammates, and I have become a much better driver in that time because of him.

Micheal will definitely be able to help with this project. He knows everything there is to know about karting and the mechanics behind it. He is also a great tuner. He knows all the tricks and secrets. Having Micheal is going to help me so much.

When you are drawing in perspective, you need to figure out how far apart certain lines need to be. If you are drawing something that occurs in a pattern, like telephone poles, the objects get smaller and closer spaced the farther away it gets.

Perspective

This website just talks about the lines, and steps you need to place on the paper to complete your drawing. The factors that applies every time you are drawing this way are vanishing points, and a horizon line. You need both of these factors to draw realistically.

This website is good because it is a .org website and it contains a graph which displays the evolution of nanotechnology from 2000- 2020. The four nanostructures/ nanosystems are Passive nanostructures (2000), Active nanostructures (2005), Systems of nanosystems (2010) and Molecular nanosystems. This Website Interests me because it explains how nanotechnology evolved from being only able to perform one task to be able to have thousands of moving parts to multiple jobs at once. Module 1 Post 3 (Savannah Ballet – The Geometry of Dance Powerpoint)

This site is very useful for geometry in dance. Although there isn’t much written the pictures are very useful. This site shows the different formations. This is again another symmetry and geometry site. There are many formations that require symmetry. Like the 2 parallel lines. The 2 parallel lines must have the same amount of people and they must be in a straight line. The geometry slides show the dancer in a pose. Then it outlines where the shapes would be. In the ballet Swan Lake the 4 swans must be in a straight line.

This is useful to me because it is another geometry and symmetry site. I now have a lot of information on symmetry and geometry. This helps me understand why formations and angles are so important in a dance. Everyone needs to be the same and in the same place. The formations need to be straight and if they aren’t then the dance won’t look as polished and neat.

My third website on tap history/references is a little bit about the history of tap dance but also some references to websites that will also help you learn more about this subject. Some information of the history is that tap dancing first originated in Africa known as Juba, practiced by African slaves. The website also explained that before there were tap shoes, dancers wore soft shoes or clogs.

Module 1 Post 2 (Symmetry, Geometry…Dance?)

On this website it says that dancers must understand the symmetry and geometry just as well as counting the music. Dancers use symmetry in a lot of steps, such as turns. During the turn they must whip their head around. This step is called spotting. It helps dancers turn without getting dizzy and falling and it helps with going in a straight line. This relates to symmetry because without the dancer would fall over because they can’t spin continually. If you’re spinning a ball for example there are many rotational symmetries. However the human body has none. If you don’t spot then you would probably fall. In the ballet Swan Lake the Black Swan must complete several pirouttes and fouettes. And it is very important that she spots. Every dancer uses symmetry and geometry in a performance. This helps the dances look appealing.

This helped me because if I want to focus more on symmetry and geometry for this project I will have this site. This sites provides lots of information. This also helps me understand the angles and shapes in ballet and how whipping your head in a spin is important to stay on balance. I’ve inserted a clip of the Black Swan turning and spotting.

Module One Post Two (Steps and Counts)

For my second website, I chose one that explains what the types of steps are, how you do it, and the counts for it. I think this website is good for beginners so that they can get the basic steps and learn from that. The website is dance syllabus. Relating tap dancing to math is simple because in tap, you have to use counts which include numbers that you can add up so you know how many counts a phrase is. When you dance to certain genres, there are different counts that you are supposed to use. An example is that when you are dancing to waltz, you would use the counting 1,2,3-1,2,3-1,2,3 and so on. When you are dancing to pop music or for tap, jazz, lyrical, or ballet, you would be using 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc.

I found this website recently.This website talks about a soccer formation and why they use it. The soccer formation is 4-2-3-1. for people who do not know soccer formations there would be 4 defenders,2 centre defence midfield,3 midfielders,1 striker. In this article they talk about what advantages are in the formation.like how the defence cover lots of space on the soccer field.
