I am thankful for many things…not just Fridays 🙂

A) What, or who, are you thankful for? Why?
B) What is the best way to show gratitude?
THINKING:
I need you to think about the last couple of months. I want you to list 3 things you are most proud of. Please try to list school related things. For example, you could write that you are proud of how much you have learned to use the computer. Use because to explain.
MATH:
#1 I have 4 buckets with 5 water balloons in each. If I want to play with 4 other friends (total of 5 people) is there another way we can share the balloons? – Think fact families
#2 I built a rectangular garden with perimeter 24 m. What could the side lengths of my garden be?
#3 John has 4,324 envelopes and he drops 2,350 in the mud. How many envelopes did not get ruined?
#4 Sam needs 1,763 beads to make a necklace. She has 798. How many more beads does she need?
#5 Soccer practice starts at 5:30 pm. It takes 40 minutes to get there. What time should I leave?
#6 Jane collected 1000 stickers. Her brother spilled juice on 132 of them. How many stickers does Jane have now?
– Fact families – remember these? Fact families are sets of numbers that can be arranged to make true math sentences. Confused? Here’s an example: 2, 3, 6 are the members of the family. They go together using multiplication and division.
2×3=6
3×2=6
6/2=3
6/3=2
The / is the division sign on here 🙂 Anyway, as you can see, the numbers never change but the order of them changes based on the function.
Write the fact families for these numbers:
a) 2, 5, 10
b) 3, 5, 15
c) 6, 4, 24

I am thank full for the nurses because they are saving lots of people who have Covid-19. I’m thank full for the nurses they are saving people life and they work hard they don’t even get to take a rest. I thank nurses and when Covid stops I will give lots of money to nurses so they can go for a holiday. If there was no nurses right now then everybody will might die so thank nurses there saving lives. I think nurses saved over 1 or 3 million that’s a lot so that is why we stay home and wash are hands for 20 seconds and stay 6 or 2 meters apart.
I am thankful for having so many friends without them I would be so lonely and friendless. My friends lookout for me and are always in a great mood to have fun. They are funny, interesting and very cool! Some of my friends are real friends. I am thankful for my friends also because they chat and chat with me!
I am proud of learning to type really fast. I am also proud of training to be on the track team with great coaches although I never got to go to our first meet as a grade four. I am also proud of when I made so many new friends during March and April. I am proud of how I learn to get over things really fast at school.

I am thankful for having parents because I would not be alive without them. I am also thankful for having parents because they feed me and give me a nice place to sleep. I also would never have gotten a dog (!) without my parents. I am thankful for Ziva(! My dog) because I have someone to snuggle and cuddle with when I’m bored (I think she hates it). I have countless other things that I am grateful for but those are some of the main ones.

Hi Mrs. Armstrong,
Over a few months, 3 things that have made me proud are:
1# I went to a dance competition, and I performed. After that, we got the results. It said we were second place. At first, we thought we were not going to be in the finals because it noted that only the first place goes to finals. But it turns out that we were going to finals, so after my mom got the email, it was a big rush. Some people were already going to the ferry back to Burnaby(we were in Courtney), and after we performed again, we got into provincial finals!!! This is something I’m very proud of.
2# I was bored during self-isolation, so I made a cat project, not a lot of people can tell cat breeds, so I wanted to try. Now I know Siamese, Persian, Maine coon, ragdoll, Bengal, sphynx, oriental shorthair, and Himalayan
.
3# I’m proud of getting my scorpion, needle, and backbend into a chest stand into a split in contortion.
Thinking
One thing I’m proud of is actually now I getting pretty good at typing I can do my work pretty fast. Also another time I was proud of myself school related is my art I think I have improved a lot sense the last time I went to school. The last thing I’m proud of is my creative thinking.

JOURNAL
I’m thankful for my family because without them, I would not be alive, and be able to have food. Without my family I have know one to support me, I am also thankful for my family because without them, I would not have a house and clothes, and not be able to go to Canada. I’m thankful for my dad because he helps me do my home work, especially Math and thought me how to play basketball. I am thankful for my teachers because they’re teaching us everything we need to learn in school. I am also thankful for my friends that play with me, because without friends I would be sad because nobody to play with,it would be upsetting because without anybody to play with, it would make you lonely. Lastly I am thankful for God because he gave us everything we prayed for.
I am thankful for food if we didn’t have it we wouldn’t be alive. Some people don’t have money to buy food but we can go to the grocery stores and buy food or snacks. I think I am very lucky to have the ability to buy what I want from the store. I can choose a variety of food to eat every day. I am so glad to have food.
Thinking
I am proud of my typing skills because I think I am getting faster on my typing.
I am proud of my math because I’ve learned so many things, for example, fractions.
I am proud of my writing because I think I’m getting better.

1. In Social studies, I learned some European and First Nations history with Mr. Wu and I almost got a perfect score
2. In Computers I learned how to post a comment on the class blog I was proud because I thought I could not do it but I did it.
3. In Math I learned how to do perimeter I thought it was hard at first but after a couple of tries and I did it.
I am thankful for my family because if they did not marry then I would not be living in this world and if I some how bin born with no family. Then I would be poor. Then die and no one will care because I have no family. So I am very thankful for my family and another reason that I am thankful for my family is that I have learned a lot from them.
