Class Meeting reminder

Hello students and families!

I hope Week 4 of assignments has started off well.

This post is a reminder that we will have our next class meeting tomorrow at 11:00 am. There is no email invitation for this meeting, as it is set as a re-occurring meeting in Teams. To join the call, please find your calendar in Microsoft Teams, and click on the meeting to join just shortly before 11:00 am.  Students are asked to mute their video and audio, but if able, join in on the chat by typing. We will be reviewing place value, division and multiplication of decimals, chatting about first impressions of Front Desk, and potentially trying another dance party like last week…

Please let me know if you have any troubles opening or playing the PowerPoint for Front Desk Chapters 1&2.  Students will need to sign in with their district email and password in order to open the document. A reminder, please do not download this document, as copyright access is still limited. You may listen to the recording of the read-aloud, but the document will be deleted after June 30, 2020. *EDIT: Since many folks are having trouble with the PowerPoint, I will re-record the reading as a video and share that tomorrow morning. I will update it on this week’s Weekly Assignments post. **EDIT#2: Here is a video recording: Video – Front Desk – Chapters 1&2

Viewing and editing assignments in Teams may not be possible on mobile devices such as smart phones or tablets. If this is an issue, please let me know and I will send the documents via email.

Looking forward to connecting with you tomorrow!

Ms. A

P.S. Students, I have a small surprise to share with each of you, but this is the only hint I am going to give:

  • Hi Ms. Anderson,
We are trying to watch you read but it keeps lagging and stopping, and skipping. Is anyone else having issues?

    thank you Diana

    • Hi Diana,
I am sorry that this is happening! You are not the only ones to experience this problem. I have re-sent you the link to the PowerPoint in an email. Please let me know if it is any better or the same. If it does not work, I will re-record the reading as a video only.

  • Brora didn’t have much trouble with the PPT. She did need to zoom in to read the last sentence because the recording cut off but otherwise it worked really well.

    • Hi Briana,
I am glad Brora was able to use the PowerPoint. I am not sure what is causing it to work for some and not for others! Many are experiencing the problem of the recording cutting off mid-page on each slide. Curious!
