Hello families of Division 2,
Our much-loved class pet Gillbird, a betta fish, needs a home for the winter break. His tank is 3 gallons, and the pump requires a regular electrical outlet so that he has fresh oxygen in the water. He needs 2 to 3 feedings per day of his food. The tank will be freshly cleaned before the break, so will require no maintenance (other than the pump being plugged in). He would need to be safe from other pets, such as curious cats or dogs. Gillbird’s tank would need to be picked up Wednesday, December 18, or Thursday, December 19, and returned during the first week back to school in January.
If you think that you might be able to care for Gillbird, please return the bottom portion of the blue letter sent home earlier this week by tomorrow Thursday, December 12. In an effort to be fair to all the students who would like to care for Gillbird, I will pull a random draw of the names of students who are interested and able.
Thank you! 🙂
