Hello Division 3 at Nelson!

Hello Division 3 Students and Parents,

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to post a welcome and hello to you! I’ve been dealing with some technical issues with joining Nelson.

I am so excited to be working at Nelson.  I’ve already grown so fond of all my wonderful students in such a short time.  I know we are going to have a great year together.

I’ve been getting lots of questions about what subjects we will be learning, receiving syllabus for our classes etc. Please note the BC Curriculum is available online.  We do not have syllabus for Elementary School.  Our curriculum is flexible and may ebb and flow as the year changes, making a syllabus difficult to stick to.

Thank you for helping getting your child’s duotangs/binders all set up and organized.  Due to additional safety measures in place we haven’t be able to get to the nitty gritty or organizing quite yet, so thank you for your support.  Please know your child is able to use whatever organization system they would like this year.  Learning what system works for them is a huge step in their academic success.  All I am concerned with is they know where to find things when they need them, and they have their work ready to hand in when it’s due.

I look forward to touching base with you all during intake meetings, whatever fashion they take place in.  Until then please don’t hesitate to reach out via email.
