Dear Parents,

This morning, we started off with silent reading and then we played a fun multiplication Math game. There were three different board game levels, which they completed with a partner. ThereĀ  was single-digit multiplication, double by double, and triple by double-digit multiplication. It was really fun and the kids were really into it and worked well with their partners.

After that, students had snack and they went to Music and then we stayed indoors for DPA because it was raining outside.

After, we had our last Drama presentation and went to the library.

Following lunch, we worked on two new poem types – the Cinquain and the number poem. Students started writing their rough copies of their poems on a lined sheet of paper and once approved started to write it in their good copy books. They will have more time tomorrow to work on this.

At the very end of the day, I introduced the Grade 5 Natural Resources Project – I have attached the file here as well to the assignment and rubric. We read through the expectations and then students were sent to make a plan of what they planned to accomplish in each class of work time to get them organized and handing the project in on time. The Grade 4’s worked on implementing the information they had read on the Coniferous Forest into their pamphlets. These are the only pieces of homework tonight and continuing to study for the spelling test next week.

Have a good night and don’t forget your running shoes for Ms. Parke’s lesson tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
