Hi Everyone,

Today, we started off the day with reading a few chapters of “Wonder” and then I asked if there were any questions from the Math homework from the weekend. Then, we worked on estimating differences. We practiced some examples of rounding to the nearest hundred and subtracting in order to estimate differences. Then, we talked about how to figure out if estimates were high or low as that was one of the questions in the textbook work.

The assigned pages for homework:

Grade 4: pgs. 60-61 #1-4, 6, 9-12

Grade 5: pgs. 58-59 #1-7

They are due tomorrow if the kids did not finish their work in class.

Then, we went outside for DPA. When we came in, we did our Daily 5 stations and then the kids worked on their Drama skits. They will be presenting in two weeks.

After lunch, students had time to work on their Social Studies and at the very end of the day, work on their  pop art. I started  teaching some fo the kids the embroidery today, which was a lot of fun 🙂

Just a reminder that the Social Studies project is due on Wednesday and Spelling Test is this Thursday.

Have a good night and thank you for all of the candy donations!

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
