Hello everyone!

Today, we started off the day with our new spelling words: Provinces Part 2 and Physical Region names. Our next spelling test with be Thursday, October 29th.

We had a class meeting with Mr. Anderson and Ms. Sakic this morning to discuss safety and to identify adults that are present at school to help with problem-solving in our classroom.

After that, we had Snack and Outside Time.

Then, we did our Daily 5 stations. The Red Group continued reading Holes with me, Orange group worked on spelling, and Yellow group wrote on writing about their favourite part of nature (this will lead into our biomes/natural resources units in Science).

After, students had time to work on planning/practicing for their Drama skits to act out their short stories.

Then, after lunch students had the computers to work on their provinces/territories/immigration projects, which are due on Wednesday, October 28th (next week). We will be sharing these in a gallery walk style where half the students will go around and look at projects and the other half will stand by their projects and explain them, and then we will switch.

At the very end of the day, we worked on our  Halloween Pinatas! Thank you so much to all the parents that sent candy – we really appreciate it 🙂

Reminder: Library is on Wednesday this week! (I think it will be on Wednesday every week but will let you know if anything changes).

Have a good night!

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
