For homework this weekend, students have a weekend journal in their red journals: (they are expected to write 3/4-1 page of writing, single spaced). They are to hand it in on Monday on my desk (to the TOC as I will not be here due to a doctor’s appointment). They have written down the prompt: “Write about your experience building catapults. What worked? What did not work? What challenges did you face? If you could do it again, what would you do differently? What do you already know/want to know about medieval times?

For homework, they also have a perimeter and Area worksheet.

Other than that, today we started our “Design a Playground” project where students have to design a playground and calculate the area of the different equipment/features of their playground (this is an in-school project, not to be worked on at home).

As well, their provinces/territories diorama shoe box + report is due on Friday, October 11th – next week.
