Homework for Tuesday, October 1st

Happy October 1st 🙂

Today, we worked on determining the area of rectangles measured in cm and learned about writing cm² and the importance of writing the little two in the right hand corner of the cm unit. The homework due tomorrow is pages 154-155, Questions 2-6 from the Math textbook and needs to be out on their desk tomorrow morning ready to be checked.

Tomorrow is also library and the students will be able to return their books.

We also tested our catapults today, which will be put up on Fresh Grade so you can see our competition!

I also introduced our Provinces/Territories project for Social Studies which will wrap up our September unit (a little late oops). The students are working in partners/some groups of three to research their selected province/territory – already assigned in class. Using books and the computers, students will research about the province/territory and create 5 items in a shoebox to create a diorama of that province/territory. Students will also type a report and add the links of the website and titles of the books that they used at the end of the report. They are NOT allowed to copy the information word-for-word but must reword. I have attached the instructions below. Due date to be determined.
