Dear students and families,

I hope you are all well during these challenging times. As teachers, I know that we are embracing new horizons of online teaching, and every step has its own challenges. I can only imagine the challenges that you and your family will equally face.

I want you to know that I am not only here to support your learning, but also to support your connection to the greater community of learners and to promote your well-being. It’s equally important that you take the time to take care of yourself and to check-in with your teachers and myself whenever necessary.

On this website, you will be able to access your assignments according to your groups. I will be e-mailing you your group ID. Otherwise please e-mail me at lily.tong@burnabyschools.ca.

How to reach me:

I will not be holding office hours, but instead be available as an “as needed” basis. Please e-mail me if you like to arrange a meeting or for any questions. The meeting could be intended for simple telephone check-in, or to provide additional support for your assignments.

Submitting your assignments:

You will submit your assignments by following the instructions on “Submitting assignments” tab. Many of your assignments will not need to be submitted and specific instructions will be given for each task.

As a final note, I recognize that each family has their individual circumstances, and thus, you will be responsible to coordinate your own efforts in completing these works. Although I will set due dates for these assignments, I understand if students need to work at their own pace. Take care of yourselves and I truly miss each one of you!
