Our Little Potatoes!

 

 

Our little potatoes were harvested over the weekend! We were able to grow 20 small potatoes from our planted spuds in March! They may be small but I am so glad we got to grow these potatoes together despite the distance! 😃________________________________________________________________________________________

 

Some of the potato plants have started to wilt which means it is almost harvest time! I am going to let a couple more days go by before harvesting them. Now we just need to think about what delicious potato based meal we can make with them! French fries? Mashed potatoes? Baked potato? 😃________________________________________________________________________________________

 

Our potatoes are now standing  80 cm above the grow bag! I have given them extra support to make sure their long branches don’t break when rain or strong winds come. 😃________________________________________________________________________________________

 

The potatoes have grown to 76 cm! The rain bent some of their branches but they are  still growing strong! 😃________________________________________________________________________________________

 

The potatoes are now standing 60 cm tall above the grow bag! Keep cheering on our little potatoes as they continue to grow! 😃________________________________________________________________________________________

 

Our potatoes are growing so TALL! I am impressed by their height with each passing day! Right now our potatoes stand at 51 cm above the grow bag! Once we take them out to harvest in June I will measure them again and update you on their final height. In the meantime they are enjoying all the sunshine we have been getting lately! 😃

Our potatoes continue to grow! They surprise me each day with how tall they have become! I will be adding more soil and will continue to water them when needed. Harvest time will be coming in June! 😀________________________________________________________________________________________

 

 

The potatoes have grown to 33 cm! That means they grew 20 cm in one week! Our little potatoes are loving the sun and water they have been getting and they’re continuing to grow! I have added soil and keeping a close eye on them for us all! 😀________________________________________________________________________________________

The estimates are in and we had the most people vote for 17 cm or  18 cm. I will reveal how tall it grew on Monday along with some updated pictures! Thank you for your great educated guesses! 🙂

Our potatoes are still growing strong! I have added extra soil, sprinkled Potato Plant Food on the soil and watered them. I also measured the tallest sprout and it is 13 cm tall!

Remember this Division 10?! Just before March Break we planted some potatoes with Ms. Carson’s help. Well, just to keep you up to date, these little ones are growing! They now live on my little balcony where Ms. Ssemanda waters them, adds soil and watches their growth. I will post pictures to keep you updated on how they are doing! 😀
