Welcome Families!
Here is a little look into what we have been doing in Kindergarten. The children are learning so much each day through play and hands on exploration as well as sharing ideas with each other, making predictions and asking questions. I am thrilled to be a part of this learning!!

Outdoor Education
On one of our nature walks we collected sticks. Later we brought them in and did some math with them. After we sorted them in many ways we enjoyed reading Stick Man, an entertaining book by Julia Donaldson about a stick man who is turned into all sorts of interesting things.

Soap Stone Carving
Division 10 was excited to welcome a soap stone artist into the class to teach them about carving. We talked about how soap stone carvings are popular amongst Inuit artists. We also watched a video of a carver crafting a fish sculpture and looked up different soap stone animals to further our learning.
