Bonjour à tous! I hope you had a wonderful, restful holiday!

There are still many unknowns with Covid, Omicron and coming back to school. Here are the things I can tell you (with some certainty):

• The plan is for all students in the province to return to in-person learning on Monday January 10th
• Staff and students will continue to wear masks to minimize the spread of Covid
• Staff and students will continue to do the daily health check each day and stay at home if they are feeling unwell or have any of the symptoms on the daily health check (aka – please stay home if you aren’t well!!)
• Make sure to eat a good breakfast before school or lunch during lunch time because students (and me too) will no longer be allowed to eat in class
• My jury duty was cancelled, so I’m going to be teaching you for the rest of the semester!

Today we:

• P2&4 – corrected the PC worksheet package – #1-5
• P3 – learned the passé composé and had time to work on the package #1-5
• played Gimkit to practice French Christmas vocab!

For next class:

• If you earned ‘Emerging’ on the vocab quiz, I will see you at 8:40am Tuesday January 4th to rewrite it!

Today we:

• wrote the vocab quiz
• corrected the rest of the futur proche WS package
• read a story about Ogopogo – Tp118-119 & Cp10-11
• learned expressions that use ‘avoir’ – Cp14
• started learning the passé composé using the WS package

For next class:

• Cp14 (if you didn’t finish it in class)
• Passé composé package – sections 1-5 (due vendredi le 17 déc)
• If you earned ‘Emerging’ on the vocab quiz – you are coming back either TODAY after school (3:10pm) or Friday @8:40 (the start of flex time) to redo it

Today we:

• wrote the vocab quiz
• corrected the rest of the futur proche WS package
• read a story about Ogopogo – Tp118-119 & Cp10-11

• started our last unit of the course – Phénomènes Canadiens (which meant getting our new workbooks)
• did pré-Dictée A (the real dictée will be mardi le 14 déc)
• started learning new vocab – Cp3 (used Tp114-116)
• worked on provinces & territories vocab – Cp4
• did a listening activity – Cp5

For next class:

• Cp4
• Next class – we’re watching Ratatouille! Bring your stuff though because it probably won’t take the whole class
• EEH Présentations – vendredi le 10 déc
• Phénomènes Canadiens Dictée A – mardi le 14 déc

Today we:

• wrote the EEH Unit test

For next class:

• We will be starting our next (and final) unit, so if you want to write in the new cahier, make sure to pay for it using School Cash Online

• worked on the restaurant presentations in the computer lab (P4)

• EEH Test – lundi le 6 déc (you won’t get class time to work on the review package, so you need to do it on your own time and make sure to correct it using the answer key on the website)
