I am an emergency hire for a high school in North Carolina and I am seeking some teaching help! I majored in French in University, and have been hired with the condition that I earn my teaching certificate whilst working. I love how you have your website set up!! It is so thorough and precise! I was hoping maybe you might have a source in Canada for some good French readers for my French 1 crew. I have taken the place of an “old school” teacher who was pro translation and anti- technology. There is no money in the budget to buy textbooks. I’m using a 2005 edition and my level 2s are (due to the circumstances of her abrupt departure) only on Chapter 5 of the same book I am using for my beginners. I am really just looking for some fun stories as some interest. Any publisher names you can recommend would be invaluable! Merci!!!
There are lots of verb and grammar activities as well as lots of great reading comprehension activities there. Also, if you’re ever looking for a good crossword creating website, I love http://www.armoredpenguin.com!
