Dear Strongstart Families,
Well here we are two seasons later, the first day of
Autumn of the 20/21 school year is upon us.
I hope you were able to relax and enjoy the summer with your
Family staying Safe and Healthy!
I was honored to help out with Kindergarten gradual entry
the last 2 weeks. I am Truly impressed with the hand washing
skills the Children have acquired over your time together!
Great job Mom’s and Dad’s and to All who have taught this
important life saving skill to a child, KEEP MODELING THIS!!!
This year continues to be a roller-coaster of uncertainties with
many changes and unknowns.
Please Stay Calm and take care of yourselves and Each other!
We Will get through this Together!
Everyone is wondering, When will Strongstart open?
Here is the message from the School District:
In September 2020, Burnaby Strongstart BC programs
will continue to engage in outreach to Families via e-mail
phone calls and offering Strongstart services online.
There is currently no in person Strongstart BC
in Burnaby Schools.
We are looking at a variety of options that will enable us
to offer in-person Strongstart BC programs.
Programs will be at a reduced capacity that are
consistent with stage 2 of the K-12 Restart plan.
“Reduced capacity” means that we will limit the
number of Families attending to maintain safe physical distancing.
We will reduce the number of hours per day and/or days per week
of Strongstart BC operations to accommodate cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
Please continue to visit our website for the latest updates.
We look forward to when we can welcome you back in person!
I am looking forward to connecting with you All again!
Starting September 21st, I will be back to support you remotely.
Please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail if I can help in any way.
This week will be mostly reconnection, I will try calling you from
the Classroom phone (#604-296-9024-ext.642126), there is No
voice mail option, but Please feel free to call back or leave me
an e-mail.

I would like to thank all our Families who have

home to do our part!
THANK-YOU!!!
I wish you a Healthy, Safe and Happy Summer!

Teacher Beth has an awesome video to watch!
How to make Giant Bubbles!
Here is Teacher Beth’s recipe!
GIANT BUBBLES!
6 CUPS WARM WATER
1/2 CUP BLUE DAWN ORIGINAL DISH WASHING SOAP
1 TBSP OF CORN SYRUP OR GLYCERIN
MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS GENTLY!
HERE IS THE SECRET:
THE BUBBLE LIQUID GETS BETTER THE LONGER IT SITS!
IT SHOULD MARINATE OVER NIGHT AT LEAST!
THE SOLUTION GETS BETTER WITH AGE AND WILL LAST A WHILE.
TIP:
JUST DIP WAND INTO THE SOLUTION DON’T STIR OR SWISH!
THAT WILL CREATE SMALL BUBBLES AND IT STOPS WORKING!
ENJOY!
Bubble song! (sing while you play)
Blowing bubbles, blowing bubbles,
in the air, in the air,
When you stop,
Then they drop,
And go POP!
Hi Everyone!
This is going to be a busy weekend!
Happy Fathers Day to all your Amazing Dads,
Grandfathers, all men who have important
connections with Children in their lives!
Wishing you all a memorable day!
Since 1996 National Indigenous Peoples Day
has been held on June 21st, the Summer Solstice and longest
day of the year. There are over 60 Indigenous languages in Canada.
As of 2016 1.6 million people identified as Indigenous in Canada,
making up 4.9 per cent of our National Population.
My heartfelt Gratitude to all the Indigenous peoples who are
teaching us through stories and songs how to take care of
Mother Earth and each other Respectfully!
Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you…

Welcome back My Friends!
Today is the first day to sign up
for the summer reading program at
Burnaby Public Library.
Our friends Diana, Chris and Tina
went to this amazing Park in South Surrey
called Redwood Park 17900 20th Ave.
They found many Beautiful Tiny houses.
I wonder who lives in them?
This Park was owned by two brothers who
lived in the Tree House that is still there. They planted
many Trees from all over the World there and donated
the land to Surrey to keep as a Park for all to enjoy.
I hope over the summer all of my Friends get to enjoy it too!
Thank-you So much for sharing these pictures with us today.
