Today students played the card game, “Potlatch.” It is a game based on indigenous economic systems of sharing, gifting, and status. Students worked together to share resources in order to meet other players’ needs for food, materials, technology, and knowledge. The game is written in both English and Lushootseed, the indigenous language of the Salish Pacific Northwest.
