“Be-leaf” it or not, students’ sentence-writing skills begin to build up and improve during this activity! Each child chooses an object that could be lost or hidden in a pile of leaves.
Then, keeping the object’s identity a secret, he/she writes five clues. Each time an incorrect guess is made a leaf is lifted to reveal more of the hidden object. Can you guess what’s hidden in their pile of leaves?
