Dear Families,
As we move into learning at home, it will be important to set up a daily routine for your child. I invite you to design a routine works best for your family. Your child’s day should be balanced between academics, exercise, hands on learning, and free time. If possible, get outside daily. If there are younger siblings in the house or you are working from home, do the best that you can. The amount of time you schedule for each learning activity will depend on your child and their ability to focus. Generally, 20-minute periods are good.
Things to Consider:
Regular School Activities to Consider
I will continue to post activities for you and your child to engage in together so check the different pages of this blog regularly. I will also endeavor to post one video message each week. As we work through this time, keep in mind that you know your family and its needs the best. Please also know that you are always welcome to email me at anita.lukose@burnabyschools.ca. I would love to see photos of your child at play or any artwork they create.
Love,
Mrs. Lukose
Hello Friends!
Let me start by saying how much I miss you. I was really looking forward to seeing all your beautiful smiles and hearing about your Spring Break adventures. Unfortunately, we’ll have to hold off on that for just a little bit longer.
In the meantime, we’ll have a different type of learning experience… online! With the use of this blog and other resources, I hope to keep all your wonderful learning going. I’ve been so proud, watching how much you’ve grown, so keep practicing all that you’ve learned over the past year.
It was wonderful to speak to so many of you last week. Please feel free to send me an email to let me know how you’re doing or to simply share a story. I’d love to hear from you. For now, stay safe and keep smiling!
Love,
Mrs. Lukose
