Here are some online activities to try for this week.

These are some body percussion play-alongs that we’ve previously done as a class:

(Here’s a tip: if you’re having trouble keeping up with the song, you can change the playback speed of the video by clicking on the Settings button > Playback Speed > and pick a speed — I would recommend choosing “custom” and trying 0.85 or 0.9.)

 

Here is a rhythm play-along that includes ta, ti-ti and shh. You can clap the rhythm, or with permission, use two similar shaped items such as pencils, chopsticks, straws, plastic spoons, etc. to gently tap on the table or desk.

 

And here is an interactive story (en français!) about some instruments that you’ll find in an orchestra, with some examples to listen to.  Can you name 5 instruments that are included in the book?
