Grades K-6. Burnaby has a district subscription. This site offers animated talking picture books (English, French). Books include fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, chapter books and National Geographic videos.

Epic sign-in link. There are lots of great books, with “read-to-me” audio book options. Epic is accessible using our class code from Monday-Friday, 7am-4 pm for free. For additional reading time outside these hours, parents can create their own account and have access to 2 hours of reading per week (please do not sign up for a paid membership, just use the freely accessible material).

Story Time from Space is a project of the Global Space Education Foundation. While in space, astronauts are videotaping themselves reading these books to the children of Earth. These videos are being edited and placed on this Story Time From Space website- look under the heading ” Story Time Videos”. Click the link and listen to astronauts read stories from the ISS space station!
