Graphic Novel Poll

This week we researched the creator of Captain Underpants, Dav Pilkey. We already knew that main characters George and Harold keep readers laughing non-stop. What we didn’t know was that Dav Pilkey was often in trouble at school and spent a lot of time at a desk in the hallway. From his hallway desk, Dav dreamed up and created homemade comic books.

There are a lot of great graphic novels available for children. Let us know your top pick. [yop_poll id=”1″]

  1. I like Garfield because it’s funny, easy to read and short. My brother loves it, too. I think he likes it even more than I do.

  2. Hi Div. 8.

I really love the graphic novel “Hidden” by Duavillier, Lizano, and Salsedo. It tells the story of a young Jewish girl during WWII in Paris. It is a wonderful book and you can get it at the Capitol Hill library!

  3. I like Dragon Rider because this story is fun and interesting. It will take you to the dragon’s world, and you’ll learn many things about dragons. This story is about humans flooding the dragon’s valley, so the dragons are about to find the Rim of Heaven, where they’ll be safe.

  4. I really enjoy the book Smile because its a true story, and its quite funny. I also think that the book is short; it doesn’t have a lot of words.
