“The Communication Competency encompasses the set of abilities that students use to impart and exchange information, experiences and ideas, to explore the world around them, and to understand and effectively engage in the use of digital media.”
– BC’s New Curriculum
The children of Division 8 are pleased to present their movie “Commotion in the Ocean“. This movie is an example of the children’s ability to communicate what they learned about the ocean. The children collaborated on writing the script, choreographing the actions, rehearsing their lines and acting out their parts. Wow! Little kids can do amazing things.
Much thanks to Jan Chow, the learning technology teacher, for all her help with this project.
Bravo! This made my day! The script, actions, and special effects were well thought out and coordinated. Looking forward to many more productions in the future.
I noticed how the students practiced and practiced articulating their speech. They truly understood that “how they said it, and what they said” needed to come across to an audience.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the learning – You folks all ROCK!
