We just started our first lesson of the Mind Up Program. We had a really great discussion about the importance of exercising our brains and how the structures involved in our Limbic System works. What are these structures and what did you learn about them? Also, what else did we talk about?

High Touch Hi Tech Visit
Boys & Girls,
The habitat workshop was awesome! It looks like you all learned a lot and enjoyed yourselves. What were some cool and interesting things you learned about and did with Seismic Stacey and Kinetic Kathleen? Here are some memories of that day!
Mystical Stories!
Thanks Emily M. and Reanna for coming up with our Bulletin Board title and for helping to put it up. The students were very enthusiastic writers completing their mystery stories. With several writing tools in their tool boxes, the students were very motivated. They wowed me with their creativity and their ability to implement many of the new skills they learned. Division 5 then used the app Educreations on the ipads to record and display their finished products. Hope you enjoy listening to them.
Boys and Girls what can you say about each others’ stories?
November Days!
Wow! November is flying by. Division 5 has really gotten into the swing of things. They are accomplishing a lot and learning new things. What are some neat things you have learned so far in any subject or activity? Here are some pictures taken in November!
October!
October has come and gone! The students are still waiting to receive their blog passwords from the district. Hope they will get them soon. I am certain they will have many things to share.
Division 5 did an awesome job performing the “Halloween Night” song at the October assembly. If there are any pictures or videos out there please let me know and I will put them up to share. I am so proud of you boys and girls! : )
Here are some fun pictures of Buddy Bingo and our afternoon after the assembly. Thanks parents for sending treats to share. It was a fun filled day. Also, check out our trip to Edmond’s pool on October 30. The kids had a great time and was a fun bonding experience while being active. Many of the Grade 5 students were able to smile for the camera and receive their ACTIVE passes that day. Division 5 and I want to thank all the parents who took time out of their busy schedules to drive kids to and from the pool. You all rock!
New Update: Thanks Mrs. G for letting us have your video of Division 5 singing at the assembly! They were fabulous and cute! : )

My new class!
Hi Everyone,
It’s so wonderful to finally meet my new class. We have been quickly getting to know each other and many of my classroom routines have been introduced. I am very happy to see the children showing so much enthusiasm in class. I can already tell it will be another super year.
Boys & girls, I can’t wait for you to receive your blog usernames and passwords. Once you receive them you will be able to post comments. Our class blog is a fantastic way for us to share what you have been doing in school.
Once you are able to log on please share your comments about : what you are excited about this year and anything you thought was fun to do or interesting to learn in class so far.
Crazy Carnival Fun!
Don’t you wish we could have a Crazy Carnival at our school all the time? Divisions 4, 5, & 6 had a Crazy Carnival on June 12. First, a Food Truck, Dougiedogdiner came by and our classes lined up to order up their food. Then at noon the students entered the carnival. There was an “Incredibles” bouncy castle, an enormous fire truck slide, a cotton candy maker, 4 carnival games, and of course the DUNK TANK! Boys and girls tell us about some good memories of your day! Did you have fun? We are so glad that we could use our fundraising money since you all worked so hard! Here are some photos.
