What’s Up this Wednesday with READ WORKS!  Many of you enjoyed My Bean Plant story.  We had 16 students log on to it yesterday and work through the assignment including Thomas who is working with us from Korea.  Here is a message and his heart project sent from his family:    Good morning Mrs. Enchelmaier,   I’m sending Thomas’s heart.  My family will put every hearts my kids made on the window tomorrow morning.  We’re happy because we can join this meaningful assignment even if we’re in Korea.                                                                                             Thank you so much Thomas for also reminding us to be healthy! We must remember to participate in daily physical activity as we move forward with our learning.  Some of the links on the DPA sidebar will give you some suggestions.  Getting out for walks in this beautiful weather is a healthy start.  Samuel, my son, and I went for a walk last night and we saw tulips, daffodils, stunning magnolias, hyacinth, pansies and snowdrops.  Spring is in full bloom!  You can always look up spring flower images of the above flowers so you can search for them in your neighbourhood.  The walk can also inspire some Spring Cinquain ideas!  Here’s one that came to mind as I was walking in the fresh, Spring air.

Daffodils                                                                                                                                                                                                 Sunny, golden                                                                                                                                                                                   Reaching, shining, smiling                                                                                                                                                                 Proud garden stars blooming                                                                                                                                                                               Flowers
