October Is Coming To A Close!

| Posted in Uncategorized

What a spooktacular month we have had.  Division 10 has been very busy spinning their thoughts into wonderful webs of art, design, friendship and learning.

They used permanent markers and water colour paint to create some amazing webs of their own that any spider would be proud to hang from.

They also used permanent marker and the colours red and black to draw their own cartoon spider.

Charlotte’s Web gave them opportunities to think about friendship and they added kind and caring words to a friendship web describing the characteristics of a good friend.

Students are flying across the world with Math Takes Flight.  That is only one small piece of the Math Curriculum. We have many other math experiences such as making Pumpkin Glyphs and trying out Pumpkin Symmetry. Math is Everywhere and Math Is Fun!

Diwali brought the light and we used oil on felt markers to create Diwali stain glass window decorations.  The light was also shining when we created Heart Maps acknowledging our own personal identities.  Student shadow faces, with the attached hearts, hang in our classroom window .

We also had one of our first Art Starts Performances of the year.  Dumpsta Dragons performed and we have added their link to the blog so you can take a look at some of the performance we were part of.

We are looking forward to a peaceful November once our Halloween festivities come to an end on Monday.  Stay Tuned for more Division 10 posts!
