In addition to the remaining time in today’s class, you will be given the entire period on Monday, Dec 19 to work on this project. You are welcome to bring your laptop to work on, if you wish. Completing this assignment by hand is also acceptable.

Each search must include an indication of the Act and Scene in your title where you would place this character making the search (and it must be obvious to me the correlation to the play at that point). Example of a title: Iago, Act 5, Sc 2.

English 8:

Work block for “My Very Bad Day” short story writing assignment. Students will also have a work block on Monday to ensure they are dedicating solid effort into this final assignment for our unit on HKL.

Note taking for composition assignment next week:

While we watch the film in class, you are responsible for taking notes on various aspects of the film. After we have finished the film, you will be writing an in class composition comparing the film and the text next week. The notes you take while watching the film will be ESSENTIAL to achieving well on the composition.

Similarities:

  1. Note aspects where the film takes liberties and changes, adds or removes scenes from the text.
  2. Provide THREE examples of this.
  3. Explain WHY you think the director has chosen to change/add/remove these scenes.
