English 8:

  • finish reading Ch 2 in The Outsiders
  • Chapter 2 worksheet – students were given remaining class time to work on this sheet; if students didn’t finish, they took it home for homework and it’s due at the start of Friday’s class
  • reminder: spelling quiz at the start of class Fri! Don’t forget to study your words.

English 11FP:

  • class time to work on Prompt # 1:How are girls treated differently from boys in your family? Write about how it feels from your identity perspective to watch how the other gender is treated.

    If you perceive no difference, why do you think that’s how your family is?

    and #2:You have three years to achieve full-fledged mastery in something. Write about the skill you choose, and how you’d go about it.

    HINT: Focus on detail in each step to your achievement over the three-year period.
