English 11CW (Pd 4):
Read Act 2, sc 3 & 4 in Macbeth.
Assignments x 2:
1) As Lady Macbeth’s attendant, write a letter to your BFF to bring them up to date on recent events at the castle. Your main focus in your letter should be Lady Macbeth and her behaviour(s) (think character analysis) though you will also include major events that have occurred up to the end of Act II. 200-250 words in length. You can write this in standard English – you’re welcome to try it in Shakespearian if you like though!
2) Write a poem of at LEAST 10 lines, using whatever rhyme scheme or metre that seems appropriate, about EITHER Macbeth or Banquo at this point in the play. This is essentially a character study written in poetry (rather than prose) so you want to demonstrate the depth of your understanding of the character you choose.
REMINDER: Act 2 OPEN BOOK quiz on Weds. Ensure you have your textbook with you for this assessment.
