Library period to type up good copy of short stories. Full short story composition package including brainstorms, drafts (peer edits too) and good copies collected at the end of today’s class.
If you missed today’s class, it’s essential that your composition package is submitted no later than Friday as this is the Term 1 cut off. If work is not received by this time, it will not be considered for the grading of your Term 1 report card but it can be added back in Term 2.
CW12 (Pd 2):
Lottery draw for Literary Café presentation time slot sign up. If you were absent from today’s class, I will put you into a time spot.
Check point #3 at the end of class: min 2300 word count for short story draft.
REMINDER: FULL draft of your short story needs to be printed and ready to hand in by the end of class Fri. We will be peer editing next Tues. The peer editing component counts towards your individual grade.

In-class persuasive writing assessment.
If you missed today’s class and your absence is not excused, you have earned a zero for this assessment. If your absence IS excused, you need to email me ASAP to arrange to come in before school on Friday to make this piece up. The Term 1 cut off is Friday so it’s essential this piece is completed then or it will not be considered for the grading of your Term 1 report card but it can be added back retroactively in Term 2.
