Please note: INTERIM REPORTS WENT HOME WITH STUDENTS TODAY.
English 9 (Pd 1 & 3):
In-class writing assessment based on the two short stories we’ve read by Poe. Students have all class to write.
** if you missed today’s class and your absence is excused, you need to email me ASAP to set up a time to make up an alternate writing assessment. If your absence was not excused, you have earned an insufficient evidence (IE) for this assessment.
Please ensure you have your short story text book with you for class Weds.
CW 12 (Pd 2):
Poetry share.
Remaining class time to work on poetry collections (which are due next Tues at the start of class).
English 11CW (Pd 4):
History of Chinatown info share video.
Self-identity/cultural duality diagram assignment (due at the start of class Weds):
Use your body diagram outline to create a visual representation of the two sides you see to your own identity: the side you show to others in public (exterior) vs the REAL you (interior).
For some people, this may look like downplaying or accentuating certain aspects to how you dress, do your hair, or even wear make up. How you choose to demonstrate this on your page is up to you: be creative! Marks are largely derived for this assignment on the overall visual impact of your diagram and its components.
