FYI: Students will be writing an in-class paragraph next day; please ensure you have your novel with you. You will have the remaining class time after the in class write to work on Journal #2.

English 11FP:

Students have today’s class to complete their essay outline for “Reservation Dogs” and outlines are being collected at the end of the period. If you were absent from today’s class, it is your responsibility to print off an outline from the link below, and complete it to have for Wednesday’s class.  You are welcome to come to flex tomorrow AM if you need to finish working on your outline.

Essay will be written IN CLASS starting on May 15th and finishing on May 21. Work will be collected by me in between the two periods. Students are not permitted to use devices whilst writing their essay but you are welcome to use a copy of a dictionary if it’s helpful. Only students with an IEP on file will be given extra time beyond the two writing periods if it’s necessary. Students who miss class May 15 and/or May 21 with an UNEXCUSED absence will not be given further opportunity to work on the essay. 

English 12: 

Review of technical writing techniques including hedging, qualifiers and proper quote integration and citation.

Remaining class time to begin research on the Great Depression and filling in essay outline. Due to the grad rehearsal on Weds in pd 3 & 4, your outline will need to be completed for homework and you must bring it  for the in class essay on Tues, May 21.  Please email me your MLA8 formatted works cited in advance of this class.
