Journal Reflection #2 assignment  covering ONLY Ch 32 – 40 in the novel. All 7 questions must be addressed and this goes into your portfolio for Term 2.  If you missed today’s class, these are the prompt questions for your analysis of Ch 32-40 in the novel:

All prompts should be answered using FULL sentences except for #4 which needs to be a narrative PARAGRAPH (8-12 sentences).

1 How has the plot advanced?

2 Were there any new characters introduced? Describe them in detail including names, physical descriptions and personality traits (if known).

3 Find at LEAST one word that was either new to you or that you found unique in this section. Copy out the word (with page # citation) and its proper definition as it relates to the context of the story. If there were many words that were new or unique to you, make a list of them and write out the correct definitions.

4 What are you able to connect with personally in this section of the text? Write a narrative paragraph (10-12 sentences) making personal connections you make to the text from experiences in your own life.

6 What do you hope will happen next in the story?

Speech writing assignment (for portfolio):

Roderigo has evidently agreed to Iago’s urging to kill Cassio so he can still pursue Desdemona. If you could step into his path and say something, anything, to Roderigo at this point, what would it be?

Write a speech of 150-200 words that you would give to Roderigo in this instance. This piece will go into your portfolio for Term 2 so please ensure you add it to your Table of Contents. Your speech should convey your understanding of the general plot line of the play plus the nuances of the characters in the play.
