Prompt #1: How are girls treated differently from boys in your family? Write about how it feels from your identity perspective to watch how the other gender is treated.

If you perceive no difference, why do you think that’s how your family is?

Prompt #2: You have three years to achieve full-fledged mastery in something. Write about the skill you choose, and how you’d go about it.

HINT: Focus on detail in each step to your achievement over the three-year period.

Prompt #3: Describe a moment when you felt betrayed by someone close to you.

Prompt #4: Write your thoughts and feelings about what you saw and learned in the film, “We Were Children.”

Prompt #5: What does truth and reconciliation mean to you?
