- Literature Circles book club #1 – share quotations and questions from intial response sheet (submit to teacher) (H)
- Narrative Essay Assignment – review and discuss (H)
- Narrative Leads – what are they and how do you write one? (H)
- Write outline for narrative essay and conference with teacher about your idea – finish for homework
TUESDAY
Terry Fox Run – Period 2
- Conference with teachers about narrative outlines
- Class discussion about dialogue and punctuating dialogue
- Start rough draft of narrative essay
WEDNESDAY
- Truth and Reconciliation – first 30 minutes of class – school wide activity
- Continue to write rough drafts
- H.W. bring a complete draft to class on Friday (hard copy)
THURSDAY
NO SCHOOL – Truth and Reconciliation Day
FRIDAY
- Photo Day -Seniors in the afternoon
- Editing/Revision/Polish – Peer edit narrative rough drafts (hard copy)
- Continue to work on essays
- H.W. Good copy of essay due on Monday (bring rough draff too). Read your literature circles novel. Next literature circle Wednesday October 6th. You should have read 1/2 of your novel by then.
