- Memories of People – Spoken Word Poem – For My Grandmother – by Phil Kaye
- Note how he takes his grandmother’s comment: “funerals are like birthday parties, except better” and carries it throug the entire poem
- Read the essays, “I Was On Fire” (yesterday’s reading). “Let It Snow”, and “All Parents Are Cowards” (R)
- Complete questions for discussion on these stories – “Memories Of People Essay Questions – Walls, Sedaris, Christie” (see handouts)
- H.W. – Finish the questions and be ready to discuss them tomorrow. Read your lit circles novel

Finish the first 1/4 of your lit circle novel for Monday – complete the intial impressions sheet so you are ready to discuss the book with your classmates.
