  • HW – Read over introductory handout on “The Essay and Narrative Writing” (H), Interview and transcript due Wednesday

TUESDAY

  • The Essay and Narrative Writing (H) – review and disuss handout from last day
  • Writing about ” place”.  Narrative essay: “Where The World Began” – Margaret Laurence (R)
    • Complete questions (H) and class discussion
  • H.W. read essay “Crying In H Mart” and complete questions #2,4,6,9,10 from handout “Anaylzing an Essay – General Questions For Discussion” (H).  Also, think about where you grew up or a place that is special to you.

WEDNESDAY

  • Interview and transcript due today
  • Writing assignment (in class) about “place”. If you are away, make this up during FLEX, or if your absence is extended (more than a week), email  me to discuss.
  • Literature Circle Selections – students to choose novels

FRIDAY

  • Writing inspired by objects
