Hi families, it has been a short, but very full, week!
Tuesday we had an assembly with various student presentations to remember Orange Shirt Day happening tomorrow.
Wednesday was the in-class presentation for HUB Cycling. Don’t forget – if you haven’t sent in your form regarding Tuesday’s in-house biking session for your child, please email me asap!
Today, Math 4 started using the Math Makes Sense 4 textbook and tried to neatly write into our math booklets.
NOTE: No textbooks will be sent home – please scroll down to the “Links” section on this page to find the online copy for your child to follow.
If your gr. 4 child has math to complete this weekend, here are some things to note:
- make sure your child reads each question carefully, understanding what the question is asking for – their notebook has a graphic organizer that will explain standard form, expanded form, and base 10 blocks
- check that they are using the left pink margin line to separate question numbers vs numbers used in their solutions and finally,
- students don’t need to copy questions down in their book, I am looking for solutions which include computations and sentence answers
