Cooking Weekend!

Friday, May 1st

Dear Division 8,

Thank you to those of you who sent in pictures of your structures yesterday! Not only did they look amazing but I loved the stories that you created about these structures. Thank you Fariha, John, Elie, Brandon and Quinn for your structures:

Thank you also to the following students who sent in the most amazing nature art that I’ve ever seen. Thank you Diya, Brandon and Aiden.

Get your measuring tools ready because you will be cooking this week-end! I encourage all of you to be in charge of Ingredients, Sugar, Flour, Ingredientmeasuring all the ingredients. You are the CHEF! Get your measuring cups, tablespoons and teaspoons ready…please share with me what you are cooking this weekend down below! Your FOCUS when you are cooking should obviously be EATING but also think about what unit you are using to measure…millilitres, cups, ounces? Remember it’s different from cm!

Weekly Reflection:

What activities brought you JOY this week? Please explain.

Please write your answers down below in the comment section!

Dancing, Party, Celebrate, DiscoFor example: The dancing video brought me lots of joy because it reminds me of all the dancing we did at school, especially the ‘butterfly’ move!  I also love to dance and I’m excited to see what our zoom ‘dance’ performance will look like today!

Have a lovely weekend! Just a friendly reminder that Monday, May 18th is Victoria day – No school activities! Enjoy your day!

Love,

Ms. Binng

  1. This week I enjoyed the Haiku joy poems because last year I learned about Haiku poems so for me it was nice and simple my 2nd reason why I liked it was because eating ice cream is joy to me so my homework was to eat Ice cream!

  2. The buiding was fun becuase the buiding toke a lot of work to do and thats fun and the story was fun too.

    1. I loved the creativity you showed with your structure…it looked like a scene from a Star Wars lego movie 🙂

  3. This week I enjoyed doing the Haiku poems and doing the toilet paper challenge

    1. Yummy! I’m going to make ‘kulfi’ ice cream! Have you ever tried that before? Ask your parents, I’m sure they’ll tell you how yummy it tastes!
