Hi Families,

We are celebrating Literacy Week at Morley!

Monday, January 27

Students will receive a Bingo sheet with a variety of activities they are encouraged to complete at home. Once they have completed the activities, they can return the bingo cards to be entered into a draw for a prize.  These are due Feb. 5.

Tuesday, January 28

We are having our first session of Young Actors program! Please hand in your form and $5 online or cash if you haven’t had the chance to do so.

Wednesday, January 29

Happy Lunar New year! (We might be trying pomelo on Tuesday with the class. It is a fruit and is a lucky fruit for Lunar New Year.) Students will also get a lucky strawberry candy and there is no gelatin.

Reading in the dark!! If you have a flashlight, please label it with your child’s name and send it to school. I will be collecting them and putting them in a box. We will read with flashlights in the afternoon in the dark with out buddies.

Thursday, January 30

Wear a Word. Students will be encouraged to wear a word – either by making a card or wearing clothes with words on them.

Friday, January 31

Family Reading. Families are welcome to join their child’s classroom from 8:45-9:15 to read with their child. We hope you are able to join us.
