Our Current Unit for Grade 5:Measurement
- Relationships between area and perimeter
- Measuring area of squares and rectangles, using tiles, geoboards, grid paper
- Investigating perimeter and area and how they are related to but not dependent on each other
- Understand that measurement is an important part of everyday life
- Utilize different units of measure
- Understand the relationship between different units of measure (mm, cm, m)
