<\/a>This year(2015) the grade 1 2, and 3\u00a0classes created stories during story workshop, but also added elements of music to their stories. \u00a0Some groups created elaborate songs to accompany their stories and others added instruments and rhythms to enhance the meaning and characterization of their tales.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

I liked the instrument part of my story. \u00a0My favorite instrument in the story was the agogo bell. \u00a0It was used for a line, “In a flash of lightning.”<\/em> I liked when our group made a story together. \u00a0I thought it was neat how we had characters from different stories and put them together as one story.<\/em> I liked playing the music and making characters. \u00a0One neat thing about our story was that we used string attached to a tree to pull it up for when the creeper blew it up.<\/em> I liked making the characters. \u00a0They were Joe, Night Penguin, Henry, and Beautiful. \u00a0I liked the story because it had a song that Dylan wrote. \u00a0I played the piano for my character Beautiful. I liked creating the setting. \u00a0Ours was a forest and we used paper and clay as the materials.<\/em> Making the setting was fun for me because I got to use plasticine for all of it. Our setting took place under the sea.<\/em> I enjoyed how I got to work in a group. \u00a0It was difficult to quickly make another setting for our story because our 1st one disappeared. I liked story workshop because I liked doing the stories. \u00a0My story was called “Five friends in the meadow.” \u00a0Everyone in our group wrote a song called, “O Ice-cream.” \u00a0We put ice-cream in our setting and the music helped it. It was fun because one of the characters was from a tv show and the rest we got to make on our own.<\/em> Making the story was fun. \u00a0We acted it out. \u00a0My character was Pig-Pig. \u00a0Acting was hard because it was a lot of work. \u00a0We wrote a song for our story called “Go go go go get the bad guys.”<\/em> I liked making the people. \u00a0It was fun to model and shape them. \u00a0I made Elsa, Ariel, and Icy. \u00a0the characters helped us tell the story. \u00a0It made it really easy to tell the story.<\/em>
