Emotions are divided into 4 zones: red, yellow, green, and blue. Here are some emotions in each zone:<\/p>\n<p>Red: mad\/angry, sad<\/p>\n<p>Yellow: excited, silly, frustrated, disappointed<\/p>\n<p>Green: happy, proud, confident, content<\/p>\n<p>Blue: tired, bored, sad, worried<\/p>\n<p>It is important to be able to recognize our emotions and feelings in order to help us recognize what zone we are in. The students are learning many different tools and strategies to help them stay or move into the green zone. The green zone is optimal zone for being able to focus and learn.<\/p>\n<p>At home:<br \/>\nPractice recognizing the different emotions and zones of regulation at home. Ask your child on a daily basis how are they feeling? What zone are they in?
