Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow Experiment
Purpose: Are there any differences when you put marshmallows in cold hot chocolate and hot hot chocolate?
Materials:
Hot chocolate mix
Cold water
Hot water
2 mugs
Marshmallows

Results:
Students each made two hypotheses before doing the experiment. They were asked to observe using their sense of sight. Students discovered that the marshmallows in the cold hot chocolate stayed the same, were coated in the brown hot chocolate mix, and did not melt. The marshmallow in the hot hot chocolate looked softer and melted a bit.
