Last Friday, we went on our first field trip to Taeves Family Farm. There, the students learned about the apple and pumpkin life cycles. The students enjoyed seeing the farm animals, bouncing on the jumping pillow, going on the tractor hay ride, and picking their own pumpkins.

To continue our apple and pumpkin unit in Science, we participated in some pumpkin stations. We got to observe and draw a pumpkin, measure the height and circumference of a pumpkin, and play a pumpkin die game.

We tasted the apples we got from the farm and also baked apple crumble with Ms. Cheung’s class. Did your child enjoy the apple crumble?

We will continue our investigations on apples and pumpkins.
